1) Information we collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect basic details such as your email address and authentication information.
Connected email account data: If you connect Gmail or Outlook, we access email data necessary to provide features you use (for example: grouping by sender, filtering by date/size, exporting emails to PDF, moving emails to labels/folders, or archiving/deleting).
Usage information: We may collect product usage signals (e.g., pages visited, features used, and basic diagnostics) to keep the Service working reliably.
Payment information: If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card details on our servers.
2) How we use information
- • Provide and operate the Service (connect accounts, group emails by sender, apply filters, export PDFs).
- • Create PDF backups to the destination you choose (Google Drive or local download).
- • Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
- • Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- • Process subscriptions and billing.
3) Gmail and Outlook access
When you connect Gmail or Outlook, you authorize Plouro to access your mailbox via the provider’s APIs. We request permissions needed to deliver the features you use (such as reading message metadata/content for export, grouping by sender, applying filters, and performing actions like archive, move, or delete when you request them).
You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting your account in Plouro or by removing Plouro’s access in your Google/Microsoft account security settings.
Important
Plouro does not sell your email content. We use it only to provide the backup and inbox-management features you choose.
4) PDF backups and storage
Plouro generates PDF backups from emails you select (for example: sender groups, a specific date range, unread emails, or emails larger than a size threshold like > 1MB).
Where PDFs are stored: Your PDFs are saved to the destination you choose: Google Drive (in your Drive account, typically organized in folders) or your local device if you download them.
Depending on your configuration, Plouro may temporarily process emails on our servers to generate PDFs and deliver the export. Any temporary processing data is retained only as long as necessary to complete the export and support troubleshooting.
5) AI summaries and email writing
Plouro may offer AI features such as thread summaries and reply drafting. These features use email content (or excerpts) to generate helpful outputs like key points, action items, and suggested responses.
You can choose whether to use AI features. If you do not use AI summaries or writing tools, your emails will not be processed for those purposes.
Note: If you use AI features, third-party AI providers may process the content strictly to generate your requested output. Add your provider-specific details here (data retention, training policies, etc.).
7) Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond quickly to security issues.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].
8) Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
PDF backups saved to your Google Drive or downloaded to your device remain under your control. Deleting those files from Drive/device removes them from that destination.
9) Your rights and choices
You can:
- • Access and update your account information.
- • Disconnect Gmail/Outlook accounts at any time.
- • Request deletion of your Plouro account and stored data.
- • Choose whether to use optional AI features.
To request data access or deletion, contact [email protected].
10) Children’s privacy
Plouro is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice as required.
